Comprehensive Plan online survey is closing, second public hearing is upcoming! 

Online engagement is closing on March 20 

As a reminder, the online engagement survey on the full draft plan will be closing at the end of the day on Monday, March 20: https://durham.mysocialpinpoint.com/comprehensiveplan. After that date, additional feedback can be provided directly through the public hearing and adoption process.

Formal Adoption Process 

The formal adoption process for the Comprehensive Plan began on Tuesday February 28 at a meeting of the Planning Commission. The second public hearing before the Planning Commission is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 at 5:30PM. Participation is possible either in person or virtually through Zoom. Interpretation services are available. Staff will be organizing and publicizing all the community input received during the last two months of engagement. This information will be provided to the Planning Commission, the City Council, and the Board of County Commissioners as part of the public hearing and adoption process.
