Final Planning Commission public hearing rescheduled for June 13th!

The formal adoption process for the Comprehensive Plan began on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at a meeting of the Planning Commission. The second public hearing before the Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. The Planning Commission continued this public hearing to their April 11 regular meeting where only Commission discussion occurred.   

Final Planning Commission Public Hearing June 13th 

The final public hearing on the new Comprehensive Plan was scheduled on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, beginning at 5:30p.m. However, a quorum of members was not in attendance. The final Planning Commission public hearing will now be at their regular meeting on June 13, 2023. The meeting begins at 5:30p.m and the Comprehensive Plan will be the first agenda item.  

After the Planning Commission has completed their public hearings and voted on a recommendation for the Comprehensive Plan, the City Council and the Board of County Commissioners will hold a joint public hearing at a special meeting on August 31, 2023.
